Pulls up SQL Server2005 Surface Area Configuration--->Click on Surface Area Configuration For Services and Connections:
Pulls up Surface Area Configuration for Service and Connections Window--->Highlight Remote Connections--->Select Local and Remote Connections:
Restart service to make it take effect:
You can take the same steps to configurate sqlexpress.
